Regional Premiere Come Early Morning tells the story of Lucy, a hard-working Southern woman, whose personal life has been reduced to a spiral of late nights and one-night stands. When Lucy meets Cal, a newcomer in town, she is finally forced to confront her fears as he challenges her to accept a more meaningful relationship. Lucy must decide whether to push Cal away or face the demons that have left her incapable of intimacy and growth. She begins a spiritual journey toward love and redemption that takes her and the film to an entirely unexpected and original place.

Deep-fried, white trash angst. Expertly done, but the film evolves into Hope Floats without the heart. This film carries a great deal of authenticity, but what is ultimately lost of the cause and affect of relationships and in the end, you just end up watching a lot of people get drunk and disappoint each other.
