Regional Premiere Between a heart attack and his next ugly divorce, the infamous Max Hagan, a former Dallas powerbroker, spends a long, penniless night with his daughter's punk-rock boyfriend. From rock clubs to five-star hotels, Max rediscovers his family with the help of the local judge, punk rock, and the head of a deer. Boasting a soundtrack rife with the work of Texas musicians, The Night of White Pants proves you can never really know a man until you’ve spent a night in his pants.

Surprisingly deep, as we watch the dissolution of a successful man evolve into his own rebirth. Well acted on all fronts by every person in the cast. This night of things gone wrong could have turned into a very special episode of Dallas, but instead carries the right balance of humor and insight.

okay. we came. we screened. it was great. people laughed. a lot. my dad was sitting near me. he laughed too. that madde me happy. best of all were the cool kids i talked to after. they loved the movie. i gave them all steak t-shirts (like the one nick wears in the movie) and they were really happy. they even asked me to autograph them. i have no complaints except we had to screen a betaSP copy on an Imax screen... so it was really dark and a little soft. but, like i said, no complaints.

the next day i did a panel with shane black and susannah grant. it was about "writer/directors." it was cool because i didn't think that i woud get a word in next to those two but shane and susannah were actually looking to me saying "how did you do it amy?" i love the austin film festival
