Honorable Mention, Documentary Feature Film Competition

World Premiere Third Monday in October follows the presidential elections of 12-year-old kids vying for the promise of leading their middle school student councils in the midst of the 2004 national Presidential election. Taking an intimate journey with these young candidates as they enter their races, through their campaigning, slogan writing, poster creating, public speaking, and debating, and up until the final emotional and dramatic day of school elections, this film shows a true slice of American politics, raw and uncensored, through the eyes and votes of American 12 year olds.

Austin Film Festival
After two great, full screenings we're heading out of Austin today - looking forward to whatever's next in this THIRD MONDAY journey. On Saturday we were honored to receive the Jury Special Mention in the documentary competition and were thrilled to see that on the festival website we've been the highest rated film for the past three days. What was most exciting though was having the kids, families and teachers from the film who live in the Austin area attend the screening on Friday and return with friends and family on Monday night. Thanks to everyone in Austin who has been so helpful and supportive in getting our film on it's feet. We hope to continue reporting such strong feedback as we share the film across the country.
