Dark Matters
A young woman, Marnie Watson, is granted early release from her prison sentence for manslaughter (killing her husband—a violent NYC cop—in self-defense) on condition she wear an electronic ankle bracelet and remain within her home, effectively under house arrest, for the remainder of her sentence. Her late husband’s partner keeps tabs on her from a patrol car parked across the street, hoping she’ll violate probation so he can send her back to prison. But the 100-foot radius her ankle bracelet allows isn't the worst of her problems. Her dead husband (now a malevolent ghost) is still in the house and intent on savage revenge. Acclaimed horror screenwriter Eric Red ( Near Dark, The Hitcher ) will be in attendance

Adapted from the novel, ADAM RESURRECTED is a searing journey through the post-WWII psyche that illuminates the indistinct lines between freedom and captivity, truth and artifice, tragedy and comedy. At the center of the story is Adam Stein, once a popular German cabaret star who now, in the early 1960s, is living in a very different kind of three-ring circus: an experimental insane asylum in the Negev Desert in Israel. Brilliant, manipulative, exquisitely talented and exuberantly free-spirited, Adam outsmarts his doctor, rebelliously leads his fellow patients, philanders with the institutionʼs ravishing nurse and resists all attempts at a cure. But when Adam encounters a young boy, it sparks powerful memories of the events that shattered Adam when his own identity was blurred by a Nazi commandant.
Comedy Vanguard
The story of a small-town mine-worker named Power who’s obsessed with drums. Only problem is, he’s never played them—so he has become an expert “air-drummer,” a skill which so far has not earned him respect from his union-leader father, or from the working-class town he was raised in. He soon discovers an underground network of people who play “air drums” competitively, and his life and destiny change forever.
Short Films
When a rich couple drives into a national park they come upon something they can’t imagine.
Narrative Feature Competition
A man is lost on a desolate street. He’s not sure how he got there, but he’s got a job to do. Over the long and empty nights he seeks to complete his objectives, all the while haunted by verdant images of a cowboy in the woods. Soon, this odd “agent” discovers he has outlived his use. Desotell’s strikingly shot play on film noir utilizes unique digital imagery and a stark existentialist narrative to turn a melancholy eye on modern society and relationships. Agent 5 is a piece that will stay with you long after you leave the theater.
Target Family Film Series
When 10-year old Belle loses her mother in an automobile accident, her father struggles with the loss of his wife while trying to raise a young girl who believes her father is partly responsible for her mother's death. Hock, Belle's grandfather, has trouble communicating with Belle since the accident, because she reminds him too much of his daughter. It is new puppy Atticus that will change Belle's life and the lives of everyone around her. This is Peter Boyle’s last film, and carries a strong message about animal rights. Winner of Best Feature Drama at the International Family Film Festival. Free to ages 15 and under
Dark Matters

The only other aspect of her life that receives any attention is her significant other, who just so happens to be another detective in her department who is jockeying for the same promotion as Megan. They are working on one of their worst cases yet, the murder of a ten-year-old girl. When Megan realizes that this is the work of a serial killer, she starts seeing the ghost of the murdered girl.

A story that may have only happened in 1970s New York City, the tale of Larry Levenson and the rise and fall of his infamous swingers’ nightclub Plato's Retreat. In 1977, New York City was scorched by stifling heat waves, enervated by energy crunches and inflation and hurtling toward social unrest. Meanwhile, swinging couples were doing their thing at Plato's Retreat. American Swing captures the glorious last gasp of the (mostly hetero) sexual revolution that had been birthed in the sixties and may have died on the dance floor at Plato’s.
