When 10-year old Belle loses her mother in an automobile accident, her father struggles with the loss of his wife while trying to raise a young girl who believes her father is partly responsible for her mother's death. Hock, Belle's grandfather, has trouble communicating with Belle since the accident, because she reminds him too much of his daughter. It is new puppy Atticus that will change Belle's life and the lives of everyone around her. This is Peter Boyle’s last film, and carries a strong message about animal rights. Winner of Best Feature Drama at the International Family Film Festival.
