It is because they love each other that things will go wrong for Olive and Dax. Married and settled into an easy routine with their circle of friends, their only stresses seem to be caring for Olive’s aging father and dealing with Dax’s down-and-out brother. It all changes the night that she asks him for a baby. A Quiet Little Marriage is a film of striking emotional honesty and intensity, harkening back to the visceral films of John Cassavetes. Beautifully shot and cut, and with breakthrough performances from the film’s cast (many of whom have been featured on TV’s It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia), Perkins’ intelligent and deft drama signals a fantastic new voice in American indie film.

Such a good film...a bit gritty, very honest, and had great chemistry between the characters.
