On May 21, 2007, 21-year-old Taryn Davis lost her husband, Michael, to a roadside bomb in Baghdad, Iraq. Feeling lost and alone in the new life she'd been thrown into, she began traveling around the country to hear six other stories of love, tragedy—and survival. She took this journey “because I knew that there would be other women in my shoes who would want to hear it.” The American Widow Project is not only about those who made the ultimate sacrifice but also those left behind to carry on their legacy.
Documentary Feature Competition
In March 2007, six projects were chosen from 134 entries to receive $10,000 to create a new body of work in one year. These Oklahoma artists receive not only funds, but professional support from a curator who provokes and encourages the artists to flex their creative muscles. With vastly different projects, a year that keeps getting shorter, and intense installation challenges, Art 365 documents a unique time and artists committed to their community. Poarch and Scaramucci’s intimate access to the process of creation makes for a dramatic and intriguing story.
Short Films
A Texas family living in a trailer has to deal with a little problem: an interdimensional demon.

The Atom Smashers chronicles the international competition to find a
subatomic particle so important it's been called "the god particle." Top US
physicists search for it using the Tevatron, a cantankerous 40-year old
machine four miles long buried beneath the Illinois prairie. They're close
to making the discovery of a lifetime. But a new, more powerful European
machine is poised to come online soon, and when US science budgets are
slashed, Fermilab scientists learn that the Tevatron will close just as
Europe's machine is scheduled to activate. This fantastic documentary is
equal parts science and human drama, watching its amiable characters work
and live in and out of the laboratory, examining the intersection between
science, politics and culture on an international scale.
Short Films

While Danny's father and mother independently search for love, Danny is on his own desperate quest to find a prom date. Danny's search becomes progressively more pathetic once he and his family learn that Bart, the school's biggest dweeb, not only secured a date for the prom, but got a hotel room as well. Brian Hecker’s first feature is a light and breezy comedy about friendship, family and getting that big date.
