On May 21, 2007, 21-year-old Taryn Davis lost her husband, Michael, to a roadside bomb in Baghdad, Iraq. Feeling lost and alone in the new life she'd been thrown into, she began traveling around the country to hear six other stories of love, tragedy—and survival.
