Diane Ford (Monaghan) may not look like your typical truck driver, but then she didn’t come to it in a typical way, either. Her life is full of long hauls, one-night stands, and flirting with her handsome neighbor (Fillion). But everything changes on the day her 11-year-old son appears at her door. Her ex-husband is hospitalized, and young Peter is stuck with her for an indeterminate period of time, forcing her to re-evaluate the direction of her life. Mottern’s film contains a star-making performance by Michelle Monaghan (a festival favorite since Kiss Kiss Bang Bang in 2005), and tells a honest story of mothers and sons.

A very good movie (short of being great though) and definitely worth watching. While the overall story is somewhat predictable, it was nice watching Diane and Peter interact and I thought they gave nice performances. The cinematography was excellent.
