Left Field is the story of a unique Chicago community of misfits, artists, musicians, geeks, and party animals whose lives coalesce around the grade school game of kickball. With the kickball league growing larger, structure, rules and competition creep threaten to destroy the innocence and purity of this pastime that was started just for fun. As the community deals with these new challenges and other hardships, it becomes clear that love, friendship, and the zest for life triumph over tragedy.

Two different stories that the directors, I'm sure, felt they had to tell, makes the documentary disjointed.
