Set in the seedy streets of the the Mission district of San Francisco, the film tells a story of redemption between a father and a son. Feared yet respected as the baddest Chicano on the block, Che (played by Benjamin Bratt in a stand out performance), is a reformed inmate and recovering alcoholic who puts his son above all else but knows no other way, other than resorting to violence and intimidation, to get what he wants. He spends his time with the “Mission Boyz” salvaging junked cars, transforming them into classics. But Che’s world falls apart when he learns that his son Jesse is living a secret life.
