After receiving a mysterious postcard, directionless pizza delivery guy Elliot Knight decides to attend his high school reunion in Texas and make amends with Sonny Bosco, an old friend he once wronged. Once there, Elliot reunites with his fraternal twin brother, ne'er-do-well Calvin, their timorous former pal Gary Noble, and the gorgeous Eden Mercer (played by FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS star Minka Kelly), the love of just about every classmate's life. When the guys discover that Sonny is missing under mysterious circumstances, their investigation turns meta when they realize that everything happening seems eerily similar to a play they performed in high school--a play Sonny wrote.

The most fun I've had in front of the big screen in a very long time. The movie is hilarious. I lost count of the genuine "laugh out loud" moments, and I defy anyone -- no matter their age -- to leave the film without feeling like life has gotten a whole lot lighter in the previous 91 minutes. But that being said, this film brings so much more than comedy. The mystery itself is perhaps not so mysterious as the characters think it is, and that is part of the film's enormous charm. The audience is ushered into this vehicle in the opening moments with a sort of verbal wink from the narrator -- a device I must admit I was skeptical about before seeing the very effective results -- and from that point on, there's no turning back. I think that perhaps some of the stills that have been released, and the intermix in the fast moving trailer, might have left some confusion about the "look" of the film, but I can tell you that the cinematography, the lighting and the original score are amazing, and the stylized flashback/imagination sequences work brilliantly. This is a must-see!
